Barreirinha is marked strictly as “Brevemente / Coming Soon”. Once officially opened, booking and payment will be done 100% online on the website, with automatic confirmation by email.

Currently, the operating point is solely and exclusively Praia da Foz (Ribeira Brava), where bookings work on manual confirmation via WhatsApp and payment by MB WAY (+351 914 190 623), Revolut (revolut.me/lpluiss) or PayPal (paypal.me/GlideSupTours), and the booking name must be used as the reference.

There are no automatic payments on the website and no automatic emails sent for Praia da Foz.

If we cancel due to adverse weather conditions or other reasons, you can choose between a full refund or free rescheduling.

Our cancellation policy applies to all tours:

• Cancellation by the customer at least 24 hours before the tour starts: full refund.
• Cancellation by the customer less than 24 hours before the tour starts, or failure to attend (no-show): no refund.
• Cancellation by GLIDE SUP Tours due to sea or weather conditions: full refund or free rescheduling, at the customer's choice.

Each participant arranges their own transport. Transport is not included. The meeting point is Praia da Barreirinha in Funchal.

Yes. Photos are included in the experience at no extra cost. If you want to bring your phone, waterproof bags are available, but your device remains your responsibility.

Beachwear, sunscreen and water.

Absolutely. No previous experience is required. You only need to know how to swim; we take care of the rest, with small groups of up to 8 people and a guide always nearby.

Bookings for tours at Praia da Foz work on manual confirmation via WhatsApp, once availability and sea conditions have been checked.

To confirm a booking, the customer pays by MB WAY (+351 914 190 623), Revolut (revolut.me/lpluiss) or PayPal (paypal.me/GlideSupTours), and must use the booking name as the payment reference.

Official confirmation and meeting point instructions are sent directly via WhatsApp (there are no automatic payments on the website and no automatic emails sent for Foz).

Of course. This tour requires no previous experience. You only need to know how to swim; we handle the rest, with small groups — up to 6 participants — and always with a guide nearby. Before getting into the water, you learn all the technique with the instructor.

SUP Touring is an experience using 12-foot touring boards, designed for longer routes, greater stability and a more complete exploration of the sea.

Not necessarily. Touring boards are stable, and beginners are welcome. The tour is also suitable for anyone who wants to paddle for longer and explore more of the coast.

SUP Touring runs in small groups, with a maximum of 4 participants.

Yes. As we currently operate at Praia da Foz with small groups (maximum 4 participants), we recommend booking in advance via WhatsApp to confirm availability and sea conditions. Barreirinha is currently marked as «Coming Soon».

The activity depends on sea conditions and only goes ahead when there are full safety conditions at Praia da Foz. If conditions do not allow going out, we cancel the activity with the option of full refund or free rescheduling, at the customer's choice.

An exclusive experience designed just for you and your group. The departure time and route can be tailored to your preferences, subject to availability, operating arrangements and sea conditions.

At Praia da Foz (Ribeira Brava), private tours are conducted for groups of up to 6 participants.

At Praia da Barreirinha, in Funchal (currently marked as «Coming Soon»), private tours for groups of up to 10 participants will become available once the spot officially opens.

Currently at Praia da Foz, maximum capacity is 6 participants per tour to ensure optimal safety and personalized guiding. Larger groups (up to 10 participants) will be available only at Praia da Barreirinha once it opens (Coming Soon).

Currently our operations are based at Praia da Foz (Ribeira Brava). We can tailor the schedule and route to what your group prefers, always subject to team availability and sea conditions. Barreirinha will be available in the future (Coming Soon).

Yes. As an exclusive experience for your group, the pace and introduction to SUP can be adapted to each participant’s experience level.

It is suitable for couples, families, groups of friends, birthdays, celebrations and small team activities.

Tours are always subject to sea conditions. If it is not safe to proceed, we will discuss an alternative departure time or date with you.

Yes. GLIDE SUP Tours provides public liability and personal accident insurance for all participants, included in the experience price.

Yes. All participants receive a board, paddle, leash and life jacket at no extra cost.

Yes. Before each tour, the guide explains the basic technique and the group’s safety rules.

Yes. All tours are accompanied by a guide and run in small groups.

The guide always carries a mobile phone, to be used whenever an incident occurs and to contact the emergency services (112) immediately.

The activity depends on sea conditions and only goes ahead when it is safe to do so. If it can't, you can choose between a full refund or a free reschedule.

Barreirinha is more sheltered, but we still only run the tour in winds of up to 8 knots (about 15 km/h). That is half of the 16-knot limit (Beaufort force 4) set for sea SUP in Portugal. If the wind exceeds this limit, we cancel and you can choose between a full refund or a free reschedule.

At Praia da Foz, in Ribeira Brava, we apply an even stricter limit: we only run the activity in winds of up to 6 knots (about 11 km/h). If the wind exceeds this limit, we cancel and you can choose between a full refund or a free reschedule.

Yes. You need to know how to swim; no previous SUP experience is required.

Yes. Pregnant participants cannot take part in the activity. If you have a medical condition, please contact us before booking.
